  SRI MALLIKARJUNA SWAMY, SRISAILAM Sri   Mallikarjuna Jyotirlinga temple, Sri Bhramaramba sametha Mallikarjuna Swamy, is located in Srisailam in Andhra Pradesh. The temple is dedicated to both Shiva and Parvati and is one of the eighteen Shakti Peethas of India. Known as "Kailash of the South", the Mallikarjuna Temple is one of the most important Shiva temples and one of the JYOTHIRLINGAM temples.   The Mallikarjuna Temple stands as an outstanding testament to Chalukyan architecture, drawing art and culture enthusiasts and pilgrims for Lord Shiva worship. You can see the beautiful ancient architecture, carvings etc in all the pillars and mandapam inside.   The sanctum is a shell like structure that enshrines Lord Mallikarjuna.
