  Sri Thiripuranthakeswarar temple, Thiruvirkolam (Koovam)                     Sri Thiripuranthakeswarar temple is situated at the origin point of the Coovam river. In this temple Lord Shiva’s   Utsavar can be seen holding a bow and arrow in his hands, really unique feature in Sivan temples. It is said that on his march to destroy the demons, Lord Siva carried the bow and arrow in his hands. Hence, he is also praised here as “Thiruvirkola Nathar” and the place is also called Thiru Virkolam. This Shiva lingam is not touched by human hands, not even by the priests, as it is “ Theendathirumeni ”.   Sri Kailasanathar Temple, Uthiramerur                Sri Kailasanathar Temple in Uthiramerur is built around 8th century of Pallava Period.  The temple was renovated with keeping its ancient heritage. Moolavar : Sri Kailasanathar. Ambal   : Sri Kamakshi Amman.              The temple arch and main deity Lord SHIVA are facing east. Nandhi is in front. The sanctum is very simple and is about 4 feet above the ground level and steps are provided on the east side. Moolavar is BIG comparing the temple size. Back of the Lingam Sri Shiva and Sri Parvathi statue carved in the wall. Those days ( 7th or 8th century) many of the very old Lord Shiva temples where they instal   LINGAM in bigger size. Ambal Sri Kamakshi Amman is facing   South in the Sanctum   In the outer prakaram one can see   ONLY Sri Valampuri Vinayagar sannathi and   Sri Somas Kandar sannathi,   NO other   God sannathi or NO Navagraham sannathi.   SRI SUNDARA VARADARAJA PERUMAL , UTHIRAMERUR                The temple is situated in a small town Uthiramerur. The history of the temple is in 7th century, Superb in sculpture, architectural designs and stone works.                Lord Maha Vishnu is the main deity and Thayar is Sri Anandha Valli Thayar  . The temple has 2 tier levels above main Sanctum and in such a way all 3 Vishnu positioned one above other.   In the Ground level Sri Sundara Varadar is in standing posture ( NINDRAN ) with Sridevi and Bhudevi.  Around the main sanctum in the praharam there are sannadhis for Achuthavaradar,  Anirudra Varadar and Kalyana Varadar. Climbing over narrow steps, in the First Level   Sri Vaikunda Varathar is in Sitting position (IRUNDHAN) with Sridevi and Bhudevi. In the small praharam in the first level small Sannathis for Sri Krishnar as Parthasarathy with Arjunar, Sri Yoga Narasimhar and Sri Lakshmi Varahar in sitting position with Lakshmi on his lap.  Climbing over steps,
