Putlur a small village 7 KMs from Thiruvallur on the Thiruvallur - Avadi - Chennai highway.
A beautiful temple but small one crowded always.
Amman is of natural ANT PUTHU (Ant hill). Amman has all features powerful eyes hands legs and most interestingly with PREGNANT BELLY.
Temple is always crowded. Prsadams - Lemons, Kungumam, flowers and Bangles are given to women but NOT in HAND. Gurukkal will roll them via Amman's belly sari, women devotee will kneel down and gather them in their sari with both hands.
Really anyone will feel comfort when they are coming out of temple.
Those who want child and get marry will come here and Pray.
Friday and Tuesday are fully crowded. Parking is Problem during that days. Other days are Ok for car parking. Autos and Buses from Thiruvallur are very frequent
Temple timings : 6.00 AM to 1.00 PM and 4.00 PM to 8.30 PM
Location :: From Chennai enroute to Thiruvallur via Avadi highway - 45 KMs. From Main road take small diversion for 0.5 Kms in side village
