SRI ABATH SAHAYESWARAR TEMPLE, the name itself describes as Lord Sivan has saved King Kulothunga Cholan from very big crisis he faced. Those who are coming with problems, by getting DARSHAN it will be solved. Here Vibhuthi Abishekam is important pooja. Here Ambal is known as SRI ANANDHAVALLI AMMAN and she is is holding " PASAM" ( Unusual among Amman temples)
This temple is very OLD temple beyond 2500 years, you can see stone inscriptions on all walls, steps and entire temple still intact with old features. Main deighty Siva Lingam is bigger one looks beautiful and Ambal is simple looking and beautiful.
This temple is maintained by Govt of Archeology dept. Once inside we can feel  the effects of poojas vibrations conducted so far by calmness and beauty of the temple. Temple is built vast area land and the main temple is smaller. Main Deighty, Ambal, and all other vigrahams all placed as we see in all other Sivan temples. Unique is Sri Anjaneyar has separate shrine ( Small) and devotees offer and poojas with Vada Malai.
Worth visiting this very old temple to get Blessings of Lord ABATH SAHAYESWARAR and Sri ANANDHAVALLI AMMAN.
Timings 7.00 AM to 10.00 AM and 4.30 PM to 7.30 PM Pooja is done only in the Morning.
Location : About 90 KMs from Chennai and 27 KMs from Kanchipuram. Thenneri is 6 KMs from Walajabath. No sign boards for this temple. Reach Thenneri ask for Sivan temple.
Well maintained temple neat and clean.

You can see inscriptions on the wall and steps and entire structure remains as Original

PUTLUR - SRI ANGALA PARAMESWARI AMMAN Putlur a small village 7 KMs from Thiruvallur on the Thiruvallur - Avadi - Chennai highway. A beautiful temple but small one crowded always.
