SRI VEDANARAYANA SWAMY, NAGALAPURAM - SRI VEDANARAYANA SWAMY in Nagalapuram, Chittor Dist AP, belongs to Krishnadevaraya period.
Here Perumal is facing WEST and is in MATHSAYA AVATHARAM with Chanku and Sakkram in both sides - FIRST of the 10 Avatharams. ( Lord Vishnu in his reincarnation of FISH - Half FISH and Half VISHNU). Devotees can see clearly FISH form on his FEET in main shrine along with Sri Devi and Bhu Devi. Really beautiful Look.
The temple is neat and very big corridors.
In the main Corridor you can see big mandapam on right with three shrines- First one with Sri Veera Anjaneyar, center is Sri Lakshmi Narasimhar, and last is Sri Kothanda Ramaswamy. At the other end  Opposite is Sri Baktha Anjaneyar shrine facing Sri Kothanda Ramaswamy. On the other part of Corridor you can see Lakshmi Varaha Swami, Lakshmi Narayan, and Sri Hayagrivar. On the wall Thumbikai Alwar (Vinayagar), Vishnu Durgai. On the corridor end you can see SRI VEDAVATHI THAYAR - with beautiful Alankaram facing opp to Perumal side.
The main special moment in this temple (as priest told) SURYA POOJA is famous here every year. Here Surya -SUN- performs special feast to devotees SUN rays touch Main deighty  SRI VEDANARAYANA SWAMY for three days - First day at feet, Second day on the chest, and last day forehead. Sun rays enter through Main entrance gopuram to shrine morning 6 to 6.15 PM. This happens every year March 12th,13th, and 14th. These 3 days Surya Pooja is conducted.

Temple Timings : 6.00 AM to 12 .30 Noon ( Usually 10.15 to 11.15 Screen will be put for internal rituals). and 4.00 PM 8.00 PM

    From Babu: Sriram we missed to visit this temple due to passage of time when we returned from Tirupati
    But visited Surutapalli temple. Hope you may remember. Fine now you had the Dharsan of Sri Devanarayanaswamy.
