Thirunindravur Village temples

Thirunindravur is village with green paddy fields and good old temples to visit.

Sri Bakthavatchala Perumal : Very old traditional Perumal temple, one of Divya Desams, about 1500 years old.
Here Perumal known as Bakthavatchala Perumal and Thayar as Ennai Petra Thayar ( What a lovely name for Sri Lakshmi)  also as Suddha Valli Thayar. Temple has big main Gopuram and inside very clean prkarams and Karuvarai. Main deity is Standing Perumal ( 10 FT) - really super. Must visit for every one
Temple timing : Morning 7.00 to 12.00 A.M and Evening 4.30 to 8.30 PM ( But better time to visit in morning before 11.00 AM)


Sri Hirudayaleeswarar Temple : very near to Sri Bakathavatchala Perumal temple. Here Sivan called as Irudayaleeswarar or Hrudayaleeswarar ( abiding in Heart) Ambal  called as Sri Maragathambigai. ( Really beautiful in alankaram). The temple is very old and well maintained.
Temple timing : Morning 6.00 to 12.00 A.M and Evening 4.30 to 8.30 PM


Sri Eari Katha Ramar temple : Situated just behind Sri Bakathavatchala Perumal temple, on the banks of Thirunindravur Lake. ( just like Mathuranthagam Ramar temple). Here Sri Rama known as Kothandarama. Sri kothandarama, Sita Devi and Sri Lakshmana are of ATTHI WOOD and standing more than 8 feet height.Very beautiful in full alankaram. Particularly Sita Devi in MADISAR sari
This temple is older than both Sri Hirudayaleeswarar Temple and Sri Bakathavatchala Perumal temple


Location: about 30 kms from Chennai - after Avadi 8 to 10 kms you will reach Tirunindravur, where take a right turn to visit Sri Baktha Vatchala Perumal temple


Car Parking is good in both temples. Regular autos available from Thirunindravur town and Railway Station.

Sri Margabandeeswarar Temple, Virinjipuram

Sri Margabandeeswarar Temple, Virinjipuram, is located in Virinjipuram Village near Vellore..
