Sri Thanumalayan / Suchindram Sri Anjaneyar Temple

Sri Thanumalayan Temple is located in Suchindram 10 Kms from Nagercoil on the way to Kanyakumari. Here in this   temple   Thirumoorthis   - Lord Shiva, Lord Vishnu and Lord Brahma are in same sanctum. And this temple is also famous for   Suchindram Lord Anjaneyar Temple.             Also known as Sthanumalayan Temple, Sri Sthanumalayan represents Sthanu means Lord Shiva, Mal means Lord Vishnu and Aya means Lord Brahma. Sri Subramania Swamy Temple , Kurukkuthurai ( Tirunelveli) Sri Subramania Swamy Temple, Kurukkuthurai in Tirunelveli is,   one of the   popular temples,   called as Kurukkuthurai Murugan temple . This temple is on the banks of the Jeeva Nadhi Tamiraparani   river is beautifully carved out of a rock known as  THIRU VURUVA MALAI.  It is said that the same rock was used for carving the temple of Lord Muruga at Tiruchendur in 1653. Since this Temple is located almost inside the river path of Tamirabarani, that every year during the monsoon rainy season flood water enters the temple and almost   submerges the whole of temple.  This happens almost every year. Before water entering the temple preists take Utsavar and other important idols to safer place.             The temple has small rajagopuram and Inside the temple we can see Kodimaram, and peacock in front of Moolavar. SRI NAGARAJA TEMPLE, Nagercoil

  Sri Nagaraja Temple   is an ancient big temple in Nagercoil.  Age of the temple is between 12th  & 13 the Century. The Nagaraja the serpent king is honored in the main sanctum. Lord NAGARAJAR as the main god in this temple and other shrines have been added to the temple during the 17th century. Now we can see Sri Krishna (Vishnu), as well as Lord Shiva and Ambal. Also we can see Jain iconography of the Tirthankaras and Padmavati Devi near the temple’s main sanctum. It was told till before 17th century the temple was with Sri Nagarajar and other Jain Icons inside and nithya pooja done by Jains in their culture. Only later other shrines are added and poojas performed in Tamil culture.               There are three shrines in the temple. Sri Nagarajar is the oldest and main deity in the main mandapam.
