Sri Thiruthaleeswarar Temple , Aranvoyal, Thiruvallur Moolavar : Sri Thiruthaleeswarar Ambal: Sri Maragadambikai Ambal This temple dedicated to Lord Siva and called as Thiruthaleeshwarar as he was found under one of the types of palm tree which is called Thali ( Mangala Sutra) whose leaves were used those days married women used to wear around neck. And these leaves also used to write and hence he is called Thiruthaleeshwarar . The legend of this temple is that Lord Murugan worshiped him here before going to Sura Samharam and after Sura Samharam He returned back here. We can see the Lord Murugan with South facing peacock (which is called Asura Mayil) with Valli & Deivanai and without Vel in his hand in his sannathi.
